AGARTALA, June 16 (TIWN): For the upcoming by-election of 13-Pratapgarh Constituency which will be held on June 27, the 13/1 polling station that is Kobirajtilla Anganwadi Centre has been shifted to Thakurpalli Anganwadi centre, Ward no. 30 of Agartala Municipality Corporation, said West Tripura District Election Officials.
Reportedly, earlier the officials have decided to conduct it at Kobirajtilla Anganwadi Centre but as the centre needs to undergo construction and also doesn’t have the proper infrastructure for holding the elections, the commission has decided to shit it at Thakurpalli Anganwadi centre, Ward no. 30 of Agartala Municipality Corporation.
However, as per the Election Commission of India (ECI) notification the counting of votes would be held on June 30. The polling for by-elections in the mentioned state would start from 8:00 AM and would continue till 5:00 PM. The commission has decided that the voter’s identification shall be mandatory in the aforementioned by-elections at the time of poll. Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) is mandatory for the identification of a voter.
