AGARTALA, June 11 (TIWN): In a sudden shock after Modi's successful Bangladesh visit on June 6,7 , today a Beijing bound a Chinese flight forced emergency landing at Agartala Airport today. One China based small aircraft on Thursday made an emergency landing at Agartala airport with a total of 9 on board. According to the airport authority the flight landed here at around 10:30 AM after it faced some technical fault in air.An airport official said, “The flight B8122 of China was flying to Beijing from Delhi and later facing some technical faults it landed immediately here at Agartala airport on Thursday.â€
Flight had 9 passengers including its 2 pilots.Engineers will fly out of Agartala tomorrow after maintenance.
Agartala air traffic control received message from the charterd flight that flight has developed problem.
Flight captain sought permission to land Agartala airport immediately. After getting approval ATC Agartala immediately asked captain for landing.At around flight landed safely.
According to sources, engineers will fly to Agartala tomorrow for maintenance. A strong security ring build up immediately at airport.
Airport authorities informed State Govt and New Delhi as Chinese plane in North East is a sensitive issue specially after recent Manipur blast.
Adding to that the official said a total of 5 crew members and 4 passengers was on board while it made emergency landing here. Asked about the current status the official said the flight is still waiting here at the airport until the engineers comes here from abroad.
Passengers are all safe and there is no report causality, said the official. All the passengers and the crew members are waiting at airport.
