AGARTALA, June 10 (TIWN): Keeping in view, the safety and security of the devotees at Udaipur Tripureshwari temple, it has decided in a meeting to develop the measures of maintaining safety and security of the visitors in the temple in the coming days.
Addressing the meeting at the conference hall of the District Magistrate office, Sub-divisional Magistrate Ajit Debnath stated that special arrangements are to be made for the smooth conduct of the prayers at the temple.
At least more than hundreds devotees visit the temple every day and keeping in view about the safety of the devotes and the visitors, the authorities, in consultation with the police department, and the temple authorities have installed eight closed circuit television (CCTV) camera for ensuring the safety to the visiting devotees and pilgrims at this temple.
Further in a meeting it was also decided to start the system of paid parking zone in that area for smooth parking of the personal vehicles in the parking zone, and not on the road side, blocking the passage of other public vehicles on the roads.
The authority also stated that the parking of vehicles at the no parking zone, on the roadside causes inconvenience to smooth traffic movement, and more seriously to vulnerable pedestrians. Widened portions of the roads get fully occupied for parking and create clogging on either side the road; as a result it is deiced to start the system of paid parking zone at the temple premises from the month of July.
Further for the safety of the Tortoise in the lake of the temple it is also decided to increase the level of Oxygen in the lake through the man-made procedure.
Cleanliness and maintenance of the temple would also be given priority, cleaning of the garbage should be done regularly to maintain the beauty of the temple, as it is believed to be one of the holiest Hindu shrines in this part of the state.
The authorities in the meeting also decided to construct a museum at the premises of the temple to bring forward the history behind the establishment of this temple.
However, MLA Madhav Saha., DM Sonal Goel along with other dignitaries remained present in the meeting.
