KHOWAI, June 9 (TIWN): Students of Dr. B.R.Ambedkar primary school under Khowai Barobill Village under Rishipara are deprived of receiving stipend from the school authority for the financial year 2011-12 and 2012-13, alleged guardians of the students.
Interestingly, the parents further alleged that the students have received the stipend for the year 2013-14 but the authority did not provide the stipend for the previous two years.
As many as 72 students are deprived of getting the stipend in the school. Agitated parents however gheroued the Headmaster of the school Subimol Rishi Das and questioned him on the alleged embezzlement of the stipend money. Failure to give any response to the question of the guardians he solely blamed the Inspector of the school Mukando Lal Debbarma for this scam in stipend money of the students.
Later, when talked to Inspector of school Mukanda Lal Debbarma he counter attacked Headmaster Subimol Rishi Das and said that the school authority has not forwarded him the required documents of the students for providing the stipend to the students.
Resentment brewed up among the guardians and the Inspector of the school. Further the situation was brought under control when the Inspector of the school assured to take the necessary measures for providing the pending stipend to the students.
