Lack-of-teacher delays HS+2 results: concerns Tripura Board

AGARTALA, June 7 (TIWN): Within a maximum span of 66 days the Higher Secondary Examination results for this year have been declared by Tripura Board of Secondary Examinations (TBSE).

However, TBSE President Mihir Kanti Deb expressing displeasure over the delay of the result declaration said, “It is a worry for the future of the state; if the situation remains same, than next year the result would not get published.”

Citing a reason behind the delay of the result publication TBSE President Mihir Kanti Deb said, “The publication of result this year has delayed because of low attendance of teachers during the answer script evaluation.”

Adding to that Deb said, “Most of the teachers remained absent during the papers' evaluation. More 7 to 8 days was needed for checking the answer scripts.”  

Due to which the summer vacations was extended at Agartala Maharani Tulsiboti H.S. School, Deb said on Saturday declaring the results.

Talking to the reporters here at the TBSE office Deb said, “If such unexpected situation continues, then the future of the state would be deplorable.”

He also said that the board has already taken the matter to the state govt. here to take a notice of it, ensuring the publications in due time next year.
