Review meet held on the development of Education System at Gomati District: Few schools might be permanently closed

UDAIPUR, June 4 (TIWN): Aiming to develop the education system in the Gomati District of Tripura, a review meet was held at Udaipur Gomati District Council conference hall on June 4. When the issue has been raised about the schools with less student population, they decided to stop continuing all those schools and to make the student take admission in other nearby school.

During the meet, the dignitaries discussed about the further development of the schools. There they have decided to make visits to all the schools and to list out the names which need development. Further, during the meet, the issue of lack of science teacher in the schools has been kept in the presence of Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty. Knowing about the situation Minister Chakraborty assured to appoint one science teacher in each of the schools.

During the meet, Minister Tapan Chakraborty urged the officials to keep notice over the schools where there the reports of 100 percent failure of student in the Madhyamik Examination, 2014 have been found.

Altogether three schools have been notified as 100 percent failure- Pholko Bari High Secondary School, Ampi Block, Nograi Higher Secondary School and Hatirai Higher Secondary School, Amarpur Sub-Division. And 12 schools have been declared as 100percent pass of student in the Madhyamik Examination, 2014.

Minister Tapan Chakraborty further urged to take proper initiatives to develop the education system of the District and to encourage the people to avail their children with better education which would help their children to prosper.

During the meet, decision has been taken to organize a meet by June 15 where the Head Masters of all the schools of the District will meet and discuss about the development of the education system in the schools of the district so that in the coming examination all the schools could come up with better grades.

Gomati District Magistrate Sholon Goyal and Gomati District Shabadhipati Shuniti Saha along with other officials were present at the meet.
