Agartala, May 31 (TIWN): After the declaration of the candidate for the upcoming by-election in 13-Pratapgarh and 46-Surma constituency, CPI-M had started campaign into alarming height at the two centres to maintain the tradition of victory. Candidate Ramu Das and Anjan Das had gone to every household to attract the voters towards them. While Congress will probably announce the name of the candidate on June 4th, BJP had not yet given any hints for deciding the name of the candidate.

Talking to TIWN, Working President of Congress Asish Saha told that, party will hold meeting with the workers at Pratapgarh on May 31 and on Surma at June 3. After that the final outcome of the name of the candidates will reach the people. However, talking about the strategy of the Congress to put feet on the constituencies, Mr. Saha told that the party will soon revealed all the turning steps to win the by-election.

It is to be mention that Congress had received a terrible defeat in the election. Despite that Congress had also received a serious defeat in the Chawmanu, Manu- Chailengta and Damchara –Kachuchara constituency. They got defeated at Damchara constituency with a margin of 11000 votes. Whereas CPI-M State Committee would review the cause of decreased margin of 9 percent in the election.

On the other hand, Tripura state committee has asked its workers and supporters to plunge into action for yet another battle. Encouraged by this positive verdict of the urban population, the CPI (M) state committee urged upon its workers and supporters to leave no stone unturned in order to ensure victory in the ensuing Nagar Panchayat and Municipal Elections.

At the same time, the committee reiterated its call to the misguided youth still sticking to the wrong track of extremism, to realize the futility of their cause and evaluate the situation on the basis of their own experiences. The CPI (M) said there still is scope to abjure arms, return to the peaceful democratic process and join the developmental activities.

Last but not the least; the Left Front highlighted the completed and ongoing developmental works under its government, creation of a healthy atmosphere in urban areas, Tripura's position on the scale of progress and people's empowerment. While the Left Front government is making sincere endeavours to provide more amenities to the urban people and generate jobs in spite of serious fund constraints, the anti-people policies pursued by the central government are having an adverse impact on the state
