Indo-Bangla jointly organizes Lalon Utsav in Tripura

AGARTALA, May 30 (TIWN): Aiming to disseminate the thoughts and to fabricate the thinking’s of Lalon Fakir among the people, today Lalon Utsav was jointly organized by Indo-Bangla at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhawan.

Addressing the program the dignitaries who remained present said that the Bauls life is balanced between knowing and unknowing of life with death. He possesses simple and natural wisdom. Bauls do not accept the organized system yet he accepts the faith because it results from natural trust. This trust springs from the Adhar Manush, the unattainable man, who resides in the human form, said the dignitaries.

Further elaborating about Lalon fakir, they said that Lalon was also known as Lalon Sain, Lalon Shah, or Lalon, born in an obscure village in the district of Kushtia (now in Bangladesh). He was a Bengali Baul saint, mystic, songwriter and also a social reformer and thinker.

They also said that this program was mainly organised to extend the thinking about lalon Fakir among the population of the state.

During the program, Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Bijita Nath, Transport Minister Manik Dey, MLA Sankar Prasad Datta, Deputy Mayor Samar Chakraborty and Bangladesh Visa office Mission Secretary Mohammed Manirujjaman along with other dignitaries were present.
