Discussion meet held on various development programs at Poyangbari

AGARTALA, May 29 (TIWN): A meet was organized to discussion about the various development programs in the Poyangbari Block area at the Poyangbari Community hall.

During the meet, MLA Rita Kar, Sabhadhipati of South District Himanshu Roy and SDM of Sabroom Subash Chandra Saha along with other discussed about the various development programs and shared their views regarding the further possible initiatives which could be taken to improve and develop the Poyangbari Block area, said Source.

The team further decided to open an agri-sector at the Poyangbari Block area. While discussing about the concern topics sources said, allegation rose that the area lacks proper work progress in the supply of sufficient amount electricity, drinking water facilities, along with irrigation and communication facilities due to slow work progress. Therefore, it has been decided to pay proper attention to these department so that that the area get developed soon.

In addition, it has been decided to complete the work process at Srinagar Sub-Station of Electricity Department along with repairing the electricity connection which has been in poor condition due to heavy storm, said sources. The team also insisted to repair the non-operational part of irrigation facility and drinking water facilities in the area, added. Now the question rose by the people of the area that how far the initiatives would be implement.

During the meet, focusing to the working process of MGNREGA, BDO Manik Lal Das informed altogether Rs. 3.70 crore were spent for the development of 10 Panchayat under Poyangbari Block. When asked about the issue to the resident of the area, they said that the initiatives taken by the concern team would be very much beneficial if it is being implemented. However, the discussion left a question in the mind of the residents that how far the decision would be implemented.
