KAMALPUR, May 28 (TIWN): In the construction of 5.62 kilometers of rural road from Chengmungi to Dabbari under Jamthum VC in the subdivision, the Central government sanctioned a huge amount of 3, 98, 80, 119.96 rupees. But in the construction, the contractor Mintu Pal made embezzlement and it reached such a context that, even the MDC Badarbhum Halam and the Vice chairman of the VC Ramkumar Halam could not but suppress their anguish with the embezzlement and irregularities of the work to TIWN. But, still no action was initiated.

According to the sources, HSCL local authority and PWD(R&B) Kamalpur Division now planned to save the contractor at any cost. Importantly, Prabir Sarkar, the former SDO (PWD), who worked at Kamalpur for several years earlier, now hold the position of HSCL Dhalai District in-charge.

And he has a happy tune with the PWD(R&B) officials of Kamalpur Division. Moreover, the incumbent Executive Engineer of PWD(R&B) Partha Chakraborty has less than a fortnight to adieu his governmental job. So he also became keen to have the last share of his public service. As a result, all the responsible officials became busy to safeguard the contractor Mintu Pal and let him free pass to embezzle.
