KAMALPUR, May 27 (TIWN): The sensational and recently unearthed embezzlement in Putiacharra NWDPRA project under Salema Agricultural Sub-division of Kamalpur came under the hold of departmental investigation. Two member investigating team of SA Rajib Dey and Project Manager Rajib Bhattacharjee started their investigation from yesterday. Many of the beneficiaries expressed the deprivation and the huge difference of sanctioned and allotted money in the project. However, the investigating officials not uttered any word about their investigation for the sake of complete unearth of the embezzlement.

From 2009-2010 fiscal, Putiacharra NWDPRA project was started at Noagaon Panchayat. 

The project got completed on 2013-2014 fiscal. After the completion of the project costing a huge amount of 49, 00,000 rupees, the enlisted and officially benefited beneficiaries became aware of the project and the facilities they were shown provided with. Then some Sudip Ghosh of the locality filed an application seeking information through RTI Act. While Sudip received the information, he informed the whole matter to the CM demanding stringent action and also to the media. Primarily, it was being suspected that, the embezzlement was of 10, 00, 000 to 15, 00, 000 rupees. But now the whole project of 49, 00, 000 rupees came under scanner. As the investigation started, people hoped for stringent action from the part of authority as well as re-implementation of the project.
