AMARPUR, May 26 (TIWN): It has been more than one month that the staffs of Jotonbari fire service are suffering due to no staff quarter, said sources.
Detailing about the issue it has been further said that the old quarter has been collapsed due to storm on April 18. To enquire about the situation, DFO Nanda Lal Das visited at the fire service office on April 19 and asked them to shift to an adjustment room for few days till the construction work gets over, said sources. According to sources, the construction work stopped after they have worked for 4 to 5 days.
Sources further enhanced that it has been more than one month that the staffs were staying at the kitchen room. There also they had to face similar kind of problem when storm hits the area. Altogether, 2 drivers, leading fire man along with 19 others are facing the problems. However, OC Janmo Bikram Jamatia complaint against the situation to the higher authority but no response came up.
