AMBASSA, May 25 (TIWN): With the initiative of District administration, a review meet on development of Tribal areas held at the conference hall of Dhallai District Magistrate office.
The meeting was presided by National Tribal Commission Chairperson Dr. Rameshwar Urang. After visiting both Ambassa and Monu block he shared his opinion about the various steps for beneficiaries that can be effectively implemented for the development of the areas.
Senior Deputy Magistrate of the commission Subhasis Das discussed about betterment of various spheres including education facility, health, agriculture, transportation and communication, infrastructure, electricity, drinking water and sanitation, development of the SHGs (self help groups), rubber and bamboo cultivation, development of Tribal language, and MGNREGA work in Dhallai District.
However, Commission Chairperson Dr. Rameshwar Urang laid stress on the development of the Tribal areas. After inspecting the areas of Kumardhon para, East kathalchora, Karatichara, and sindukumar para he emphasized on the development of tribal language and tribal culture.
Further, he also said that the district has favorable climate for pineapple cultivation and the processing for cultivation should be improved, also to increase the wage of the daily tea laborer, to prevent oneself from Malaria, Meningitis and other water borne diseases, to regularize the stipend of the tribal students, to provide safe drinking water facility, accommodation for the students, child development, develop rubber cultivation as it generates economy and employment, construction of a super market along with others should be effectively implemented in the area for its growth.
Commission Vice-Chairperson Rabikumar, Dhallai Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipoti Sailendra Chandra Acharjee, MLA Lalit Kumar Debbarma, along with other digneteries remain present in the program.
