UDAIPUR, May 24 (TIWN): Incident of theft occurred in the houses of three persons of Municipal area’s Ward No-13. The place is identified as Madhya Para. However, police has not been able to trace the thieves still now.

Sources informed that, gang of thieves had entered the house of Dr. Debasish Paul, Partha Debnath and Narayan Das on Saturday night. Both the owners of the house were out of station. It has been mentioned that thieves had looted the valuable ornaments, along with cash and other belongings.

According to the police, further investigations are going on. On the other hand, the incident of theft in the three of the houses on the same night has become a matter of tension in the area.  At the same time, question had also been raised on the role of police to provide safeguards to the people.  

The police is showing negligible attitude towards the maintenance of law and order situation in the State. Though The Tripura Home department has decided to strengthen the police administration including imparting advance training, to more police personnel, but there is a rapid case of decrease in the duty of the police personnel. It has been also reported that at the duty during night time, the police personnel get relaxed.
