AGARTALA, May 24 (TIWN): A review meet on development of various area of the state held at Secretariat building on Saturday.
During the meet, National Tribal Commission Chairperson Dr. Rameshwar Urang and Vice-Chairperson Rabithakur along with other officials, discussed about the various beneficiaries’ steps which could be taken for the betterment of the concern areas, confirmed sources.
According to the report of sources, Dr. Urang along with the officials and five other representatives visited the Kumar Dhoron Para of tribal residential village under Amdassa Block to invigilate the work process under the central and state project taken for the development of the tribal areas.
Further, the team visited the East Kathalcherra and Karaticherra ADC village and SK Para under Monu Block to invigilate about the work progress under the INDO-German scheme. They also enquired about the development of the work with the resident of the area regarding the feedback of work process, said sources.
During the visit, Secretary of Tribal Welfare Department L.H Darlong, In-charge District Magistrate of Dhalai Sunil Debbarma, Principal Secretary GSG Ayyangar, officer of Tribal Welfare Department Rabindra Reang, Senior Deputy Magistrate of Dhalai District Administration Subhashish Das along with other officers of different district level department remained present, sources said.
As per the sources report, aiming to the development of the area, they took information from the people of the area and also aware them about the various facilities and their present status which includes the education facility, health agriculture along with various other facilities at the Tribal part of Kumardharan Para.
However, after the successful visit at the Tribal areas and on the basis of the information which they have collected during the visit, today Dr. Urang along with the officials discus on the issue and will take a fruitful step for the development of the area.
