KHOWAI, May 22 (TIWN): The residents of Belchorra village under Khowai Poddobill block alleged that they were deprived of all the facilities of basic necessities of life under the administration of Former ADC CEM (Chief Executive Member) Ranjit Debabrma.
The residents also alleged that the failure of Ranjit Debbarma’s dynasty in 2015 ADC election is the result misappropriation of the facilities among the villagers in his area. It is learnt that the party community hall in the area is under massacre condition and even after several plea no action is taken for the renovation of the community hall.
Reportedly, former ADC CEM Ranjit Debbarma’s distant less percentage of votes in the 2015 election, leading the than Executive member Radha Charan Debbarma to be a new CEM of the tribal council.
The inhabitants further alleged that the area has not witnessed any kind of development under the rule of Ranjit Debbarma. Poor condition of roads, no proper availability of fertilizers for agriculture, and no supply of water, improper distribution of electricity, and many other allegations are reported from this area. It is leant that the road heading towards the house of Ranjit Debbarma is furnished and carpeted where as the other roads in the village is in critical condition and no carpeting of any road is done. During the rain it becomes very tough for the villagers to walk on the streets.
It is said that under the rule of Ranjit Debbarma the villagers had not seen any development in the area but now they are hopeful that the newly elected CEM of the tribal council Radha Charan Debbarma may work for development for the society.
