AGARTALA, May 21 (TIWN): The fixed salary of the graduate teachers who had completed five years tenure is now be rescheduled according to the revised pay scale from Thursday. The revised salary would be now 19 thousand 235 rupees. However, the five years tenure of the post graduate teachers will be completed on August 26. The salary of those teachers will become 24 thousand 390 rupees. The graduate and Post Graduate teachers scale will be regularized among 10323 ill fated teachers who have completed 5 years term of service. Referring that the court has no ban on regularization of teachers as the regularized teachers will receive all facilities like normal regular teachers who were recruited around the year 2010 – 11.Left front government had appointed 1100 post graduate teachers, 4617 graduate teachers and 4606 under graduate teachers since 2010. The undergraduate teachers were appointed during 2013 which gave rise to wide spread resentment among the candidates who did not get the job.They attacked many ruling CPI¬M party offices and razed them to the grounds. Many party leaders were also heckled.
Having no other alternatives to avoid the Central rules, Government had at last agreed to rename the various departments in three phases. In the coming days, Sarba Siksha Abhiyan and Rashrtiya Madhyamik Siksha Abhiyan will be included with other departments.
No alternative name will exist.Class-I- Class viii will now be joined with Sarba Siksha Abhiyan and become Elementary Education Department, Class-ix- Class X with Rashrtiya Madhyamik Siksha Abhiyan will become Secondary Education Department and Class-xi-Classxii should be included under Higher Secondary Department.
