AGARTALA, May 20 (TIWN): Ahead of Narendra Modi government completing one year in office. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju would arrive here in Tripura on May 26 to attend a public gathering to be organized by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Pradesh Committee to mark the celebration of first anniversary of the National Democratic Alliance at Centre.According to the source, Tripura BJP Pradesh Committee along with the entire nation is making grand plans here in Tripura to celebrate first anniversary of the National Democratic Alliance at Centre. To mark the celebration scheduled to be held on May 26, Rijiju along with Union Sports Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Minister for Development of North Eastern Region Jitendra Singh would arrive here in Tripura on May 26. The ministers would leave on May 27 after addressing the public gathering here in Agartala, said source. The source of BJP party office on Tuesday also said that the venue and the time have not been fixed yet.However the source further said that on May 20, the BJP Pradesh Committee would sit for a meeting to plan out the programme schedule slated to held on May 26.
Modi took over as the Prime Minister of India on May 26, 2014 along with a small group of his Council of Ministers.
A series of meetings are being held to finalise Modi government's programmes across the nation along with the state Tripura to mark one year in power. The programmes are likely to be finalised after Modi's final approval.
