KAILASHAHAR, May 19 (TIWN): Resentment brewed up among the beneficiaries when they were deprived from the various central sponsored schemes at UBI branch of Kailashahar on Tuesday.

Unakuti Zilla Congress Committee Preseident Badarajjaman was present along the other beneficiaries during the movement.

Chief Manager Kunjo Bihari Das of the UBI branch was gheraod by the local people of Kailashahar at around 1 pm the gheraod concluded within half hour. But when the local enquired about the issue he remained speechless, said sources.

The beneficiaries alleged that the bank officials told them to give bribe or to mortgage an asset if they want any kind of loan facility from the bank.

According to the sources, allegations were raised that there are some brokers who take around Rs. 20,000 from the beneficiaries to provide them loans. Even there are cases that when the consumers come to open their account, the procedure delays by two to three months.

However, if any necessary steps are not taken regarding the issue than they will further conduct a massive protest, further added by sources.
