UDAIPUR, May 19 (TIWN): Two persons were injured when an electricity transformer exploded at Bandur power sub-station in Udaipur here on Monday.
According to sources, the two persons went to check the transformer when the explosion occurred. And, they were immediately shifted to Gomati District Hospital.
The injured persons were identified as Abdul Munaf (55) resident of Durga Chowmuhani and Jayanta Dutta (34) resident of Bandur dropgate. Both of them are working in the Bandur power sub-station. Abdul Munaf who suffered about 20 per cent burns, is said to be out of danger.
Later, Jayanta Dutta who suffered 50 per cent burns was reffered to GBP hospital where in the attending doctors said that condition of Jayanta Dutta is critical.
The electricity transformer at Bandur power sub-station caught fire after the explosion, sources added.
