AGARTALA, May 9 (TIWN): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Tripura State Unit demanded immediate resignation of Tripura chief minister Manik Sarkar from his home portfolio as he allegedly failed to protect the lives and properties of the women of the state and also regarding the scams in the state.
Speaking to the media persons at BJP office State Unit President Sudhindra Das Gupta said that the state government is busy in playing dirty politics. At present from minister to CPI-M party workers remain deep necked in corruption.
He further said that heinous and brutal attack like abusing in filthy language, physical assault, ransacking dwelling houses movable properties and destroying of rubber plantation and other valuable
crops of our party members and supporters by the CPI-M and GMP cadres have started immediately after declaration of result of general elections of district council on May 6.
He further said that the Left Front government of creating a lame duck institution having no real powers to ensure the development of backward indigenous people.
The uninterrupted 22-year stint in power seems to have taken a toll on the financial transparency of the Left Front administration in Tripura. Corruption in implementation of rural development schemes continues unabated. There is a state government of Tripura eats up all the money which comes from the central government for development, he alleged.
The state government deep necked in corruption and CPIM is not the Government for the people. The Left Front do not care about peoples and there problems, they do not settle issues. He also criticizes the Left Front Government’s alternative policies and said that those are against common people.
