CPI-M loyalist Sambhu Nama to get re-appointment

Agartala April 30 (TIWN): Labour Commissioner Sambhu Nama, who is retiring from Govt. service on April 30 is to be reappointed in the state govt. service on contractual appintment according to sources in the Secretariat. Mr. Nama who is a Senior Scale Grade(SSG) TCS Officer is considered close to the CPI(M) party office of Melarmath here.

The party loyalist is to be offered a lucrative post in the state administration owing to his close proximity with the CPI(M) top brass of the state. Sources in the State Secretariate says the TCS officer who rose to the level of SSG was a favourite officer in the administration and served most of his service life centering the state capital. It may be mentioned here that the party loyalist was the Additional DM of West District for long untill taking over the charge of Labour Commissioner in 2014.

The powerful party loyalist was in news in 2008 Assembly election to the state Assembly after his alleged  brawl with Brijesh Pandey, an IAS officer of Tripura –Manipur Cadre during the counting of votes of the election. Mr. Brijesh Pandey who was allegedly misbehaved by the powerful TCS and ruling party loyalist is on deputation in the  PMO office New Delhi at present.

Mr. Swapan Kumar Das, TCS (SSG), who is holding the charge of Additional Director SC Welfare will take the charge of Labour Commissioner from Mr. Nama in the afternoon tomorrow, the 30th April, 2015.
