AGARTALA, March 22 (TIWN): With the Tripura High Court (HC) single bench on Saturday asking the Rose valley office to appeal in the division bench with the issue of power cut of the rose valley office building, the District Administration’s instruction to cut the power and water supply connection were questioned. Rose Valley demanded for the restoration of the power line in the office building, lodging a complaint with the HC on March 19. Bhowmik told to TIWN that after the state govt. has issued the occupancy certificate, the rose valley has also asked for power and water supply connection to the office, and accordingly that too were given by the AMC and the TSECL. “But what happened now with the state govt. that acting with its autocratic power recently the DM has instructed to cut the power line of the rose valley office building terming it as illegal?”, asked Bhowmik. He said that earlier during the year 2012, the state govt. and its Urban Development Department were fined Rs. 10, 000 for not providing the occupancy certificate to the rose valley office building. Though later the state govt. has issued the occupancy certificate to the rose valley, said Bhowmik.

Lawyer Arun kanti Bhowmik acting on behest of the Rose Valley claimed that the state govt. has taken an arbitrary action to cut the power line in the rose valley office building. The controversial Rose Valley office building situated at Agartala Orient Chowmuhni has come up with its complicated issue of the power cut in the office building that lodged with the High Court (HC) recently. Talking to TIWN  Lawyer Arun kanti Bhowmik acting on behest of the rose valley claimed that the state govt. has taken an arbitrary action disconnecting the power line of the rose valley office building.

However it is worthy to mention here that, the Rose valley with its lawyer Arun Kanti Bhowmik has appealed to the HC on March 20 to restore the power cut of the rose valley office building, but the HC Justice SC Das conducting the hearing of the case has not passed any order.  HC asked the rose valley to appeal again with the HC or to the Guwahati division bench in this regard, as the single bench of the HC has nothing to deal with it. It is to be mentioned here that the Guwahati HC Divisional bench is dealing with the issue of the rose valley office building and the issue comprised of whether the building was set up legally or illegally.

Besides, it is to be mentioned here that several criticisms from different field across the state has embarked the issue of the power and water supply line to the illegally constructed rose valley office building. People raises a question that how come the water and power supply line connected to the illegally office building? As per the rules and regulation of the AMC no multistoried building could be set up without the approval of the AMC, while the rose valley stakeholders has successfully built up 7 storied office building at the heart of the city inspite of putting ban on it. While the lawyer AK Bhowmik today said that the rose valley office is G+5 building..

However, it is to be mentioned here that recently the AMC on its legal drive has cut the power line of the rose valley office building. Later, the rose valley has lodged a complaint with the High Court against the power line cut.

Since one and a half decade the rose valley had successfully continued their illegal business at the heart of the capital city Agartala, and that too with a fact that the rose valley had of course hold the helping hand of some heavy weight minister and leaders of the ruling Left front govt. here. The rose valley has looted crores of money from the poor people of the state. Besides, it is also mentionable here that Chief Minister Manik Sarkar himself on his visit to one of the inauguration programme of the rose valley had shared a dais with the Rose valley Chief.
