AGARTALA, March 20 (TIWN): Power and water supply lines connected to the illegal Rose Valley office building at Agartala Orient Chowmuhni now faces censure as the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Ltd. (TSECL) coming under the radar of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for providing service to an illegal building. Several criticisms from different corners across the state has embarked the issue of the power and water supply line to the illegally constructed Rose Valley office building. People raising questions like how come the water and power supply line connected to the illegally office building? As per the rules and regulation of the AMC no multistoried building could be set up without the approval of the AMC, while the Rose valley stakeholders has successfully built up seven storied office building at the heart of the city inspite of ban on it.However, it is to be mentioned here that recently after CBIN raid, AMC bosses were forced to cut the power line of the Rose Valley office building.

Later, the rose valley has lodged a complaint with the High Court against the power line cut.

However it is mentionable here that since one and a half decade the Rose valley had successfully continued their illegal business at the heart of the capital city Agartala, and that too with a fact that the rose valley had of course hold the helping hand of some heavy weight minister and leaders of the ruling Left front govt. here. The rose valley has looted crores of money from the poor people of the state.Besides, it is also mentionable here that Chief Minister Manik Sarkar himself on his visit to one of the inauguration programme of the rose valley had shared a dais with the Rose valley Chief.

The then Finance Minister Badal Chaudhury recently on the ongoing assembly session said, "SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) had earlier banned the Kolkata-based Rose Valley from accepting deposits from the public. But RoseValley had collected around Rs.200 crore from the people of the state and did not furnish required documents and accounts despite the state government's repeated notices."

According to the minister, Rose Valley has no license from SEBI or RBI (Reserve Bank of India) or any statutory authority to do financial transaction or to collect money from the people. However but, this has again marked Chief Minister Manik Sarkar’s alleged promise to the people of the state to invest their money to Rose valley. Besides, marking another bad day for Manik Sarkar, it is mentionable here that state science and technology minister Bijita Nath earlier was an agent of the Rose Valley group of company. Therefore it would be wise enough to mention here that the CBI raid here in Tripura might have lead the “Sarkar for poor” – Chief Minister Manik Sarkar to be in a long sprint to save his clean image.

However, but no days left for the masterminds of the illegal rose valley business, when their clean images will be revealed soon, with the CBI on their next visit to the state. Besides, recently the power and water supply line connected to the illegally constructed rose valley office building issue has of course paved an easy path for the CBI enquiry.
