BELONIA, March 14 (TIWN): To facilitate the border residents, a free Medical and Health Checkup Camp was organized by 89 Battalion of Border Security Force (BSF) at Boriaya Tilla Border out Post (BOP) in Belonia sub-division under PR Bari police station, here today.
BSF Deputy Inspector General (DIG) B S Tolia inaugurated the free Medical and Health Checkup Camp and said the BSF had the responsibility of looking after the prosperity and development of the border population, besides protecting it.
Sanjoy Kumar Commandant 89 Battalion BSF and other senior officials were present in the camp.
During the camp, team of Medical officers and Doctors from BSF examined the people and also distributed free medicines amongst the needy.
Over 200 patients attended the health camp.
Arjun Das, a resident praised the BSF for its healthcare activities. Such camps are very helpful for poor people who do not get government heath amenities, said Sima Sur, another resident.
