UDAIPUR, March 14 (TIWN): The Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court on Friday sent the four accused persons to 4 days police remand on cash robbery case from SIS Prosegur Service Van. The four accused are two ATM Custodians Suman Dutta and Alok kar, Subhashish Majumder (driver of the SIS Prosegur van), and the other Santosh kumar Chakroborty (security guard). However all the four accused persons will be produced before the court again on March 17. The police on Friday demanded for 5 days police remand for the accused persons. Later rejecting the demand of the police the CJM court sent the accused to 4 days police remand. It is worthy to be mentioned here that on a broad day light on Tuesday at Udaipur town, a cash of Rs. 13 lakhs has been stolen from one Security Intelligence Service Prosegur van. This is to be mentioned here that the place of robbery took place in such a place which is just 70 metres away from DM Gomati's Office in the south and nearly 200 metres away from the Radhakishorepur Police station.

The incident occurred at around 12:00 pm. on Tuesday at Udaipur near Kiran Petroleum filling station. However the miscreants managed to rob the cash showing a thumb to the security personnel deployed in front of the van.Reportedly, the bank workers on Tuesday withdrawn Rs. 13 lakh from UBI bank and another cash of Rs. 35 lakh from the SBI bank on Tuesday and kept it inside the SIS Prosegur service van bearing number AS-01 FC-1264 and later proceeded towards the ATM of both the bank to deposit the money. However, later the van reached at Kiran petroleum to fill oil while two ATM Custodian went to the SBI ATM adjacent to the petroleum to deposit the cash amount to the ATM. At the meantime another bag of cash of Rs. 13 lakh that has been withdrawn from the UBI bank was stolen from the van. The two ATM Custodian after returning to the van found the bag missing from the van. And this incident has once again raised serious doubts over the security measures at Udaipur, the Headquarters of Gomati District.

As per the statement of Alak Kar and Suman Datta given to the police as usual they collected Rs 35 lakh
from SBI Udaipur branch and Rs 13 lakh from UBI Udaipur branch and put them in the van in separate bags. When the took the SBI bag from the van and went inside the SBI ATM counter , the bag containing Rs 13 lakh was in the van. Security guard Santosh Chakraborty and driver
SubhashMajumder were outside the ATM . After completing their work Alak and Suman again got into the van and so did Subhash and Santosh. But when they got down from the van at Chhanban
only then they found the bag containing Rs 13 lakh missing.

IG (L&O)  Anurag Dhyankar, DIG Southern Range Uttam Kumar Bhowmik, Addl SP Gomati Tapan Debbarma, SDPO Udaipur Ratan Kumar Das and others were busy in finding any clue regarding this mysterious robbery but so far no success.
