Belonia, March 12 (TIWN): Fire broke out at Gajaria of Belonia. According to the sources, near about 3.00 p.m, suddenly a devastating fire had spread in to the rubber garden of Samar Para. In a few seconds, the fire had grasped the whole garden under its centre. However, the local people claims that the fire was broke out due to some destructive wish of persons.

Sources further informed that about 50 kani land was destroyed due to the fire. Due to the effect of the fire, five families of the area now feel difficult to earn their daily bread and butter. According to the owner Santosh Bhowmik and Kanti Bhowmik alleged that someone had willfully created the accident. Because if the incident happened from other things like cigarettes, matches etc, it will spread from one side. But in this case, the fire broke out from both sides. The damage is estimated to about 25 lakh rupees.

On the other hand, the local people also raised question mark on the role of Fire Service Department. Because, after passing one hour of the information given to them, the workers arrived the spot with only one engine. But this is not enough to control the fire. They further also don’t feel the necessity of calling another engine. It is due to the earnest trying of the locals that few things are saved from the fire.
