AGARTALA, March 6 (TIWN): The trend continues with the traffic police here in the capital city making hefty profit business collecting fine from the common mass. At a time when the people of the state are engaged to the festival of holi today, a section of traffic police comes out at every nook and corner of the city to make hefty business in the name of checking license and documents of the vehicles, resulting the common mass who do have valid documents and all set with the rules to suffer at large.
A section of people today on the occasion of holi alleged that the traffic police here at the capital city are unnecessarily stopping their vehicle in the streets in the name of checking documents and license, while even if they find the documents are valid they try to find out even minor loopholes to take fine, they alleged. It is mentionable here that as per the rules during the occasion of holi, two persons are not allowed on a single motor-bike, but in spite of that the traffic police are keeping their eye to stop the motor-bikes even with one riding it in the name of checking the documents, they further alleged.
Beside, today one family members moving towards the capital city alleged that one traffic police had unnecessarily stopped their motor-bike to check the license, while they were in a hurry to visit hospital.
However it is to be mentioned here that recently a section of traffic police could be witnessed on a race to make a hefty profit business by collecting fine finding every loopholes of the vehicles. And this has of course lead a section of common mass of the state to suffer at large.
