AGARTALA, March 2 (TIWN): At a time when rest of the political parties in Tripura have already started preparing for the autonomous district council (ADC) election, the Left front govt. remained busy with the inauguration spree in rural Tripura. CPI (M) in Tripura marching forward in the rural Tripura especially in the ADC areas to mark its election edge by inaugurating several office buildings, school buildings, arranging basic facilities for the indigenous people across the state to bring them under the banner of the CPI (M). Besides, according to the political analysts, ADC election drawing near might have brought another tense time for the left front govt with its toll in corruption and scams in the block level. When block level corruptions has already standing tall in the state, on the other hand CPI (M) might be in a long run to retain it’s clean image that has already been strained with corruptions. It is to be mentioned here that a section of the people of the state might have been awaken up to the corruptions and scams under the regime of the left front govt.

In the last two ADC polls in 2005 and 2010, the CPM-led Left Front had made a clean sweep of all 28 seats in the council where two more members are nominated by the governor on the recommendation of the state government. In the 2008 and 2013 Assembly polls, the Left Front won all but one of the 20 constituencies reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST). Recently Chief Minister Manik Sarkar recounted the historical background of setting up the ADC. “The first Left Front government had set up the ADC in January 1982 and after the Centre had amended the Constitution in August 1984, the ADC was passed to the more powerful Sixth Schedule from April 1, 1985. The Left parties had struggled for the ADC all along to protect the interests of the tribal communities.”

As one cannot conceive birds without wings, similarly the CPI (M) and its left front govt. cannot be conceived without a relentless corruption here in Tripura. The uninterrupted 22-year stint in power seems to have taken a toll on the financial transparency of the Left Front administration in Tripura. As old man cannot be envisioned without stick, similarly the oppositions here in Tripura says the CPI (M) and its left front govt. holds corruptions tight to sweep the 2018 assembly poll in Tripura. And it would be wise enough to comment here that this has brought another major tense for the left front govt. here in Tripura ahead of the TTAADC election drawing near.

Besides, it is also to be mentioned here that the CPI (M) and its left front govt. is now on a long run to save it’s so called clean image during the ADC election. Why not? As the inauguration of the school buildings, office buildings and others has been moving fast in progress in the ADC areas across the state. And a section of opposition parties here in Tripura might be taking the advantage of the anxious situation of the CPI (M) to mark their own battle line for the ADC election here in Tripura.

One says when there is a will there is a way, and to mention here according to the political analysis the CPI (M) and its left front govt. here in Tripura must have own the strategy of will & way holding the corruption tight on its chest to sweep the ADC poll.
