Agartala, February 12 (TIWN): At the time while the common people of the state are facing severe challenges in course of travel outside of the state by train due to BG conversion works, Tripura Road Transport Corporation (TRTC) is playing off-putting role to run sufficient bus in Agartala-Guwahati route since past few months.

According to a source, leaving space for the travel agencies for picking the pockets of common people, the TRTC authority denies to operate adequate buses showing a reason that busses are out of order. But the real picture indicates something different, said the source.

Even with the availability of some busses at TRTC Complex in good condition, the concerned authority turned tight-lipped to deliver bus services in Agartala- Guwahati including other routes.

The source further informed that the TRTC authority has allegedly collected huge amount from a few of the travel agencies for not operating all the busses with low fare. If the TRTC runs all the busses with cheap fare, the travel agencies would not be able to pick the pockets of common people charging high fare in Agartala-Guwahati route, the source added.

As a result, a section of patients in serious condition face trouble in course of moving outside from state by bus with high fare, the source said.

On the other hand, the TRTC is paying no attention to repair the existing city buses lying in very poor condition, which were purchased few years back with a high price to deliver city bus service, added the source.
