AGARTALA, Sep 1 (TIWN): "Everyone is equal in democracy" but in reality some people are more equal when in power. The irony is often seen in Indian politics that left politicians without fear of being dragged under the law. While protesting against Bihar Congress's rally participants abusive words' uses, Tripura BJP MP Rajib Bhattacharjee on Monday accused India's first Prime Minister Jawharlal Nehru stating "he lost the election" with Sardar Patel by 13 votes -- which is absolutely fake as there was no contest before 1947 in India and also for the Prime Minister's position.

Nehru was not only the first Prime Minister of India but was also a great freedom fighter, and his inheritors, who are the Gandhi family, descended from his daughter Indira Gandhi, have been vibrant in Indian politics amid two Prime Ministers of India who belonged to the family being assassinated -- including Indira Gandhi and her son Rajiv Gandhi. Rajiv Gandhi's wife Sonia Gandhi continued Congress's culture and tradition amid her international background. Her sacrifice for Gandhi family is counted remarkably.
Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi's two children --- Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi are now young, and leading opposition faces in Indian parliament, troubling the Modi government and his party. That led the BJP to try to tarnish the image of Nehru since the beginning but if Modi is visiting China and Russia today --- is because of the international relations that started strengthening by the Indian government since Nehru's time.
As Prime Minister from 1947 to 1964, Nehru focused on building India’s institutions, promoting industrialization, and establishing a non-aligned foreign policy. His vision for a modern, united, and secular India remains a cornerstone of the country’s development and governance. He traveled around the world to establish diplomatic relations of India with foreign countries, including the US.
Recently Congress party, led by Rahul Gandhi, started campaigning against Modi and his BJP party with allegations of "Vote Theft" ahead of the Bihar election. In an election rally, held in Bihar, some Congress rally participants (in the absence of Congress leaders) were raising slogans which was abusive against Modi. That led the BJP to organize protests, and also in Tripura BJP is protesting statewide, blaming Rahul Gandhi for that. Today's protest, where BJP MP Rajib Bhattacharjee commented on India's first prime minister election --- was a part of the BJP's agitation row going on across the country.
However, BJP remains silent over Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma's abusive comment against Rajiv Gandhi's widow Sonia Gandhi: 'In BJP, Nobody Asks Who Your Father Is': Himanta Biswa Sarma
