AGARTALA, June 27 (TIWN): Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Friday said so far 19,484 jobs have been distributed which includes die-in-harness jobs. “That is a big number, and when someone gets a job in a family, it’s not only individual happiness but it brings happiness for everyone. I can see many of the newly recruited candidates have brought their kids too,” said Dr. Saha while addressing at Muktadhara auditorium in 222 offer letter distribution program in a recruitment drive under Education and Family and Health Welfare.

While addressing, CM appealed to the job aspirants to grow their empathy for the public when they will be in office.

“Don’t forget for the people only, today you are here. Without the people, you are nobody. So be sympathetic towards them,” said Dr. Saha.

The Chief Minister also said, job rates have increased in the state and unemployment is now record low.

“Today, in government and in the private sector, 2987 people have been appointed in security and other posts,” he added.

“In 2024-25 shows 305 persons were appointed under the national career services,” said Dr. Saha.

“As per Govt of India’s Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation survey, in 2018-19 Tripura’s unemployment rate was above the national rate. Tripura’s unemployment rate was 10% whereas the national unemployment rate was 5.8%. In 2023-24 Tripura unemployment rate was 1.7% and the national rate was 3.3%,” Dr. Saha said.
