AGARTALA, May 16 (TIWN): It’s not a one-sided story ! A man named Mainul Halk perhaps violated the law by bringing and torturing a Mahadeb (male bull in the name of God) which was found tied with rope and police accordingly looking for the accused person in Churaibari East Phoolbari area but a group of mob attacked the accused person’s house, vandalized his house for hours, set fire, frightened his family’s women and kids. But so far, police only been searching for the absconding man who captured the bull, and there is no action against the mob who were caught on camera. “It’s a mixed population area and people from both sides of the community helped police recover the bull. We are now looking for the absconding accused,” said Churaibari PS OC Khokon Saha.
Watch here how mob attacked the accused's home.
Question raises, if anyone has right to take laws in hand, when mob-violence was declared as a serious crime in India.
