AGARTALA, May 11 (TIWN): ‘That’s our fate ! We have to accept it,’ said a helpless Patient Party, who waited over two hours for his baby’s treatment in Teliamura Hospital on Saturday night. The problem arose after the night duty doctor remained absent even after his name was in the roster system. A patient party waiting for a doctor to attend their sick baby since 8 O’Clock finally received medical attention from another doctor Samir Charan Debbarma after 10 pm, who rushed in proxy of the night duty doctor.
Dr. Samir Charan Debbarma blamed the night duty doctor for being absent and not responding to calls.
“His name is in the roster system, supposed to be here for night duty. I am back on duty as the doctor appointed for this hour is absent. I was already on duty from 2 pm to 8 pm, but now, I have to sit here again as the on-duty doctor is absent,” Dr. Debbarma told the media.
