AGARTALA, March 4 (TIWN): “Lack of Coordination between AMC, SMART City, PWD might be causing challenges in the implementation of various plans,” said Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday when he was personally inspecting various ongoing projects and existing facilities in Agartala. The Chief Minister was visiting some areas in the capital city along with Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder and checked the drainage conditions, other projects, along maintenance works related to the city’s day-to-day functioning, which impact citizens' lives.
After inspecting the areas, CM told the media that he felt that there is a lack of coordination among certain departments like AMC, SMART City, PWD etc.
He also mentioned the water quality in the city has improved a lot in compare to the previous years.
“People think we only come during the election, and it is not true. My visit is a part of that where I could personally check the situation,” said Dr. Saha.
“Problems will be there, but incessant coordination between these departments would sort out various issues. We are trying to finish the works before the flood season and many works would be done by that time,” he said. “Even if the works are not completed, still works have to be continued.”
