AGARTALA, May 1 (TIWN): Students of Khowai Singhirchara blocked road on Thursday demanding science teachers.The students alleged that their school has been suffering due to heavy teachers’ shortage and there is an accute crisis of science teachers, but even after appealing multiple times, they saw no positive outcome in teachers’ recruitment forced them to block road. Due to road blockade, heavy traffic jam was seen in both sides of the road as vehicles remained stranded. After with initiative of their school teachers, the students withdrew the blockade. Tripura government hired over 200 teachers yesterday and a TET examination was held recently to mitigate the teachers' shortages in government schools.
