State level Officers’ Training Course for Scouts and Guides inaugurated

Agartala, February 8 (TIWN): A two-day long State Level Officers’ Training Course for Scouts and Guides was inaugurated at Sahid Bhagat Singh Yuva Awaas in Khejurbagan here today.
The training programme was organized by the Tripura State Bharat Scouts and Guides, Youth Affairs and Sports Development.
Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Sahid Chowdhuri inaugurated the programme while Executive Member of TTAADC- Radha Charan Debbarma graced the inaugural session as chief guest.
Chairperson of Tripura Commission for Women (TCW)- Purnima Roy attended the programme as guest of honour while the Secretary of Youth Affairs and Sports Department- Samarjit Bhowmik remained present as special guest. The programme was presided over by the Director of Youth Affairs and Sports- Dulal Chandra Das.
The presence of Scout and Guides officers was noticeable during the inaugural session of training courses.
Almost all the speakers appreciated the contribution of the participating officers who are taking keen interest to adopt the scouting and guiding programme dedicated to the cause of humanity related issues and the development of the personality of the children adding that scouting & guiding activities promote the sense of patriotism, social service and devotion towards the development of the society.
