Injured thief escaped from GB Hospital: East PS constable to be suspended soon

AGARTALA, February 8 (TIWN): On yet another negligence of Tripura police one injured thief today succeed to escape from Agartala GB Pant Hospital showing a thumb to East PS police constable. The thief was identified as Shyam Das (32) reported to be injured on a mob attack at the capital city on Saturday.
One East Agartala Police Station constable Swadesh Ranjan Rai will be suspended soon in wake of escape of an injured thief from a GB Pant hospital today.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning when one thief injured on a mob attack on Saturday escaped from a GB hospital while one east PS police constable was guarding the thief identified as Shyam Das (32) in front of the hospital ward.
However the incident today has triggered a huge resentment among the common mass of the state while the negligence of the Tripura police today has raised a severe question among the public.
The east police constable who was guarding the injured thief at the hospital will be suspended very soon, police said.
Talking to TIWN police said that the escaped thief could not be traced yet but the police is keeping a strict vigil across the capital city.
Shayam Das was taken to GBP hospital as his condition is stated to be critical after facing the mob attack.
At least three thieves were caught red-handed by the public at Grameen Bank branch at Math Chowmohani, outskirt of capital city- Agartala on Saturday afternoon. The thieves were caught while they were trying to escape from the bank robbing a bag which consisted of Rs. 75,000.
The three thieves were identified as Sanjoy Singh (32), Munna Guala (19) and Shayam Das (32), all of them are the residents of Jalpaiguri in West Bengal, said police.
