AGARTALA, Feb 16 (TIWN): Tripura cyclist Bappi Debnath recently came into national media highlight after traveling on bicycle across India, Mount Everest, Paris in Europe and has now returned to his own state Tripura. He claimed to be the first Bengali to win over the Everest Base camp by bicycle.

Debnath also paddled in Paris and then he completed his journey via Udaipur, Amarpur, Karbook, and Teliamura. Talking to the media, Bappi Debnath said, “I am passionate about adventure and one aim behind this adventure is also to draw the policy makers’ attention to include psychology in basic level syllabus.”

“Also my fight is against drug addiction which is destroying the young generation. I would request them not to rely upon drug addiction, instead, they can replace it with adventure-addiction,” Debnath told media in Teliamura.
