AGARTALA, Feb 11 (TIWN): Amid transparency in recruitment claims, BJP-led Tripura Govt is now not confident about its recruitment process’s neatness. STGT matter, which according to the Govt is a matter under legal considerations, preventing it from claiming the jobs’ immunity.
After the arrests of 2022-STGT batch’s job aspirants on Monday, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said, Tripura Government will not provide such jobs which might result in similar cases like 10323 teachers, where all these teachers lost their jobs due to irregularity under the then Left Govt.
2022-STGT recruitment process was halted after a legal case was filed against the recruitment process, which according to STGT job aspirants was cleared by High Court. The matter was then taken to the Supreme Court and now the State Government is not confident about the transparency of the recruitment process. So it kept the matter up to the Supreme Court’s future verdict, amid many job-seekers turning overage.
Govt’s lack of confidence in its STGT recruitment process took the STGT candidates’ future uncertain, causing rows of protests in recent times.
Yesterday, STGT job aspirants were arrested in Agartala after they gathered in an attempt to meet the Chief Minister to discuss the issue, after failing to schedule an appointment with him in the last few years.
“It’s CM’s department and I have not much idea about the issue. But I would say that protest is not a way to resolve such matters. When we will give jobs, we will make sure that all rules and regulations are followed in the recruitment process. It should not become another 10323 case,” said Minister Sushanta Chowdhury.
