AGARTALA, Feb 9 (TIWN): A missing housewife Paramita Das who escaped from her in-law’s home was rescued from a railway track zone, where she rushed to commit suicide after discovering her husband’s extra-marital affair and his continuous torture on her. Resident of Ward No-51, under East Agartala PS, Paramita Das has been going missing since yesterday. She was rescued safely from a rail track area in Agartala.

Talking to media, the victim alleged, it’s four years that she has been married to Sanju Ghosh but after one year of their marriage, problems started between them.

“I am unable to give birth to any child and they blame me for infertility. At a point, I felt my husband had an extra-marital affair but when I raised the matter to my mother-in-law, she did not trust me,” she said.

“Yesterday, while scrolling his phone, I found his joint picture and private photos with another woman and then I told everything to my mother-in-law. When my mother-in-law asked my husband about these photos, he started threatening to kill me and told me he will continue to do whatever he likes to do. Out of life threats and tortures, I left home and planned to end all sorrows by killing myself,” the victim said.

“He does not want to live with me. I also do not want to live with such a bad person…” Paramita Das added.

Police have lodged a case against Sanju Ghosh and started an investigation into the matter.
