AGARTALA, Jan 10 (TIWN): The Enforcement Directorate (ED) Friday raided several places in Tripura in connection to narcotic trades and money-laundering. In the early morning the raids started in various places and at least in seven places the raids have been taking place. Heavy security forces were deployed during the raids. According to a state government source, the raid was held in connection to narcotic and money laundering.
It is also aiming to bust the drug-smuggling rackets that are linked to neighboring countries and states too.
Seven places were targeted, including the Nandan Nagar and MBB Airport areas, although no details were officially reported to the media.
It was said that these areas are likely very sensitive to narcotic illegal trades.
