For the last few days, BJP leaders including cabinet ministers were delivering anti-Bangladeshi statements and then ILS hospitals like major hospitals stopped serving Bangladeshi patients. One kind of hate speech was delivered by groups of certain organizations centering the Bangladesh incident and arrest of Hindu monk Chinmoy Krishna Das. Naturally, the effect of these remarks exploded into yesterday’s incident in the Bangladesh High Commissioner’s office. So far there is no control over the motormouths of the ruling party on such a sensitive international topic.

The seven person’s arrest today happened after a group of youths on Monday representing Hindu Sangharsha Samiti rushed to Agartala located Bangladesh Assistant High Commissioner Office (also known as the Bangladesh Visa office) and took out Bangladesh national flag from the office premises with ‘Bharat Mata ki jai’, ‘Jai Shri Ram’ like slogans. While setting fire to the Bangladeshi flag at the Visa office, the agitators raised third-degree slogan “We will remove Yunus’s skin”.

A huge number of police force were deployed in the Agartala Visa office to keep the situation in control.

The agitators demanded Chinmoy Krishna Das’s unconditional release, who was arrested in Bangladesh, and also asked the Bangladesh government to immediately stop attacks on minority that kicked off after Sheikh Hasina Govt’s fall and Muhammad Yunus led a new interim government formation there.
