Petrol Crisis hits ‘Aam Janata’ ;  Leaders Burning their Convoys’ fuel on camera making sure ‘All is Well’

AGARTALA, Nov 10 (TIWN): Amid Minister Sushanta Chowdhury’s positive appeal to the people and limited fuel distribution among the customers, TIWN captured videos where some petrol pumps are giving extra petrol to people by not filling their bike tankers but pouring in bottles, drums increasing the chances of black-marketing out of the petrol station. On Sunday morning Minister Sushanta Chowdhury visited various fuel stations by burning the fuel of government vehicles that he owes as his constitutional right as a Minister. However, the good work of the minister didn’t remain unnoticed by media, and social media and there is no limitation on government vehicles’ fuel consumption like other common men.

Minister said, till 13th November the problem may continue and the government is making sure that there is no fuel crisis.

“We already told people via media that to keep the balance of the fuel availability, a rationing system has been launched. A motorbike can purchase Rs. 200 petrol, 3 wheelers Rs. 400, and cars Rs. 1,000 at a time,” said Chowdhury.

“Our department officials are on the ground to make sure that the distribution is happening properly and no black-marketing is happening,” added Chowdhury.

“This crisis is not in our hands. It happened because of rail derailment in Assam which will be mitigated soon by Nov 13,” said Chowdhury.
