AGARTALA, February 6 (TIWN): Amid massive protest from Opposition Bench, the 10-day annual budget session of Tripura Legislative Assembly began on Friday. But Governor P.B. Achariya’s speech remained half-done due to the continuous protest from the opposition bench. Budget session of Assembly started at 11 am with the inaugural speech of the Tripura Governor. Governor could only finish speech of first seven paras. But after that the opposition bench started protesting on the speech, the Governor and the opposition MLA Ratan Lal Nath got engaged arguments. Governor Achariya asked opposition MLA that “Why he became so much agitated? If Mr. Nath likes to show agitation, he may show it outside the House.â€In the middle of counter speeches, arguments, Governor has concluded his speech by revising the last para of the written speech. Though, speculation was heard about the Governor’s decision to read the first 7 paras and last para of the written speech, now it is turned a matter of guessing that Governor was not willing to read the “FAKE†development of the State Government. The opposition on Friday had boycotted the Assembly session due to the non-approval of Speaker to discuss on the recent scams of MGNREGA.
