UDAIPUR, Oct 23 (TIWN): Udaipur administration under SDM along with the enforcement team conducted inspections across the shops in the Central Road and Matabari area.
Food Department led by Food Safety Officer and Task Force of Udaipur Municipal Corporation conducted the joint raid.
Expired items, and unhygienic food contents were found in some shops.
Also, some irregularities were found in the paperwork of some shops. Legal actions have been taken against the violators by the administration.
Apart from that prices of commodities have been double-checked and the officials have appealed to the people not to pay more than the official price. For example – onion should not be more than Rs. 65 to Rs. 70 and potatoes should not be more than Rs. 35 to 40 at wholesale.
