Week-long NSS special camp inaugurated

Agartala, February 5 (TIWN): With the initiative of National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Banividyapith Girls HS School, a 7-day long special camp was inaugurated at the school premises. The special camp would be continued till February 11.

 ONGC Asset Manager, Tripura Ved Prakash Mahawar inaugurated the special camp by lighting ceremonial lamp in presence of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Border Security Force (BSF)- BS Tolia.  

The inaugural ceremony of the special camp was presided over by the Head Mistress of the school- Dr. Bithika Chowdhury while councilors of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC)- Indrani Chakraborty, Haripada Chakraborty and Kamalesh Paul and many others attended the programme.

In addition, a blood donation camp was also conducted in the inaugural session where as many as 50 NSS volunteers and others donated blood.

As part of the seven-day long programme, many events including awareness drive on tobacco-free society, cleanliness drive, street corners and campaign on population affairs education will be staged by the NSS volunteers in the different parts of the capital city- Agartala.
