AGARTALA, February 4 (TIWN): The CPI (M) state committee today started a two day meeting ahead of the upcoming CPI (M) state conference here in the state slated to start from February 25 till February 28. The meeting is reported to be not crucial in regard of the upcoming ADC election but will take up a discussion on CPI (M) state conference across the state, sources in the party told to TIWN.
The CPI (M) state committee meeting would take up certain issues relating to the upcoming CPI (M) state conference which is slated to kick start from February 25 and will continue till February 28 across the state.
The meeting will also take up the issues relating to the upcoming ADC election scheduled to be held on the month of May.
On a different context, the source said that West Bengal CPI (M) state committee leader Biman Basu would be visiting here in Tripura to attend the state conference.
The meeting that started from Wednesday is slated to continue till Thursday afternoon. However following the CPI (M) state conference the CPI (M) delegation comprising of Prakash Karat, Brinda Karat, Biman Basu alongwith the delegations from Assam will arrive here in Tripura on February 25.
The party sources further informed that the state conference is slated to start from February 25 through a mass rally from Agartala Vivekananda ground and will continue till February 28 across the state. The delegations will attend the conference.
