Illegal Activities via Railway Turning Difficult Due to Strict Monitoring: 6 Arrested with Ganja

AGARTALA, March 20 (TIWN): Under chief minister Dr. Manik Saha’s governance, smuggling activities are attempted to be curbed which had already gone out of control. The smuggling racket continued in roadways and railways mostly. One the one side Churaibari police and on the other hand, the Railway police --- are relentlessly working to stop the smuggling activities. In another successful drive, Railway police arrested 6 smugglers from the Railway station on Wednesday.

Talking to media, the police official said, “Like other days, we got information via secret sources that 6 youths are carrying drugs, coming towards Agartala Railway station. At around evening 5.30 pm 6 of them were seen. They looked suspicious. After checking, it was found that they were carrying dry Ganja with them. The total weight of the seized items are 48 KG.”

The arrested persons  are : 1) Langma Debbarma, 2) Mintu Debbarma, 3) Doni Debbarma, 4) Manoj Reang, 5) Samar Debbarma, 6) Ajay Reang.
