AGARTALA, March 14 (TIWN): Former CM Biplab Deb who has been recently selected as BJP’s West Tripura Lok Sabha candidate has been open in his enmity against incumbent CM Dr. Manik Saha amid the law and order improved since 2022, when Manik Saha took charge as CM. Sudip Barman criticized BJP for both candidates’ selection saying, that both are bad choice by BJP.

Biplab Deb since 2022 to 2024 organized multiple press conferences to downplay CM Manik Saha's role. From 2018 to 2022, Tripura turned the most violence conducting state in the entire Northeast as per reports. 

Reacting to the overall situation and Biplab Deb’s secret relation with Tipra Motha chief Pradyot Manikya, including their Dubai visit, Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman took a dig at Central BJP candidate selection for the West Tripura constituency alleging, Tripura might go back to the time when law and order went totally out of control under Biplab Deb.

Barman asked, is Central BJP trying to restore the atmosphere of fear and violence under Biplab Deb’s leadership.

Noteworthy, Central BJP removed Biplab Deb within 24 hours after multiple allegations against him proven true and out of the deteriorating law and order situation was one major reason, why he was removed from CM post. Along with his MEMEs (which has restarted again with his come-back as Lok Sabha candidate), Tripura’s name was nationally damaged due to everyday violence, attacks on media, newspaper offices, opposition party office, political riots, broad daylight setting of fire.

The statement came from Congress when massive resentment erupted among Tipra Motha supporters after BJP nominated Kriti Singh, a Chattishgarh resident as East Tripura MP, who was never seen in Tripura politics but introduced with a BJP ticket and Pradyot Manikya’s sister.

Sudip Barman also alleged, both Pradyot Manikya and Biplab Deb visited Dubai together with two more persons and there, the plot was designed.
